Curry Soup!!!!!!! so good!!! Sopa de curry muy buena!!!

Curry Soup!!!! SOPA DE CURRY

Yeah!!! Erin the chef showed me how to make a curry soup. Here are some pictures of the process. I was very excited to learn from Erin because she lived in Asia for a while and learned how to cook this type of food firsthand. For this soup she used:

Erin la chef me enseñó como hacer una sopa de curry. Estoy muy contenta de aprender de Erin porque ella ha vivido en Asia y aprendió como cocinar este tipo de comida. Estos son los ingredientes que ella utilizo:

Ingredients - Ingredientes:

2. Onion - Cebolla

3. Garlic - Ajo

4. Ginger - Jenjibre

5. Carrot - Zanahoria

6. Parsnip - Chirivía

7. Rutabaga - Nabo sueco

8. Potatoes – Papas

9. Cinnamon - Canela

10. Fenugreek - Fenogreco

11. Black pepper - Pimienta negra

12. Coriander - Cilantro

13. Fennel seed - Semilla de hinojo

14. Mustard seeds - Semilla de mostaza

15. Ground turmeric - Cúrcuma.

16. Vegetable broth – Caldo de vegetales

Directions:

Sauté ingredients 2 and 3. Then add ingredients 4 to 8. In another pan roast cinnamon, fenugreek, black pepper, coriander, fennel seed and mustard seeds. Next, grind these ingredients with ground turmeric. Once ground, Fry the mixture in olive oil. Add these ingredients to the Sautéd vegetables and mix together. Next, let me mixture cool. Finally, Blend it all and put it back in the pot with the vegetable broth, then add salt and let dissolve.

Fría los ingredientes numero 2 y 3. Luego añada numero 4 a 8. En otro sartén caliente canela, fenogreco, pimienta negra, cilantro, semilla de hinojo, semilla de mostaza. Deje enfriar. Luego muela todos estos ingredientes con cúrcuma. Fríalos en aceite de oliva. Añada estos condimentos a los vegetales y mézclelos. Lícuelos, ponga la sopa con caldo de vegetales en una olla y agregue sal al gusto. Deje reposar para que la sal se disuelva.

Guido Palau Masks

I am working on a piece that is meant to be worn on the head. It is a piece that has taken me a long time and now that I have more time to spend with it I have found so many things that are related to the process. One artist that has inspired this work is the hair stylist, Guido Palau and the masks he made for the Alexander McQueen exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute in the Spring. Here are some pictures of the masks:

Estoy trabajando en una pieza para la cabeza. Es una pieza que me ha tomado mucho tiempo. y ahora que tengo tiempo de meditar mas acerca de esta he encontrado muchas referencias y artistas que se relacionan o me han inspirado durante mi proceso. Uno de estos artistas es Guido Palau un estilista que hizo las mascaras para las piezas de Alexander McQueen en el Metropolitan “Museum of Art’s Costume Institute” en primavera.
